Prof. Arieh Singer passed away on 26.3.2010

Education:

1962 - M.Sc. Agric. in Soil Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
1969 - Ph.D. in Soil Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem

Research Interests:

Research interests were centered on pedology, with emphasis on soil mineralogy; clay mineral formation in the context of soil formation, soil distribution and weathering phenomena; ecological effects on soil mineralogy; interrelationships between clay mineralogy and soil properties; atmospheric dust deposition. Other research interests were related to the origin of clay minerals in non-edaphic environments: sediments and marine/lacustrine deposits.
